Hi, and welcome to my website and my first album
“Twelve Stories in Song”
I picked up the guitar many years ago and started to enjoy writing songs. A few of my early ones are on this album as well as some more recent ones.
I love all types of music and song from the Beatles to Jake Thackeray, Simply Red to Paco Pena & John Williams, KT Tunstall to Rodriego & Gabriella and Caro Emerald to the Pierces. I love anything that moves me whether it is Run DMC’s rapping rhythms or Leonard Cohen’s haunting lyrics.
Living in the South West of England, I feel uplifted when enjoying the perspective many viewpoints have to offer, from Glastonbury Tor to Crookes Peak to the Dorset Coast-line overlooking Chesil Beach. I love walking, on my own and with friends, whether it’s by water or inland, on hillsides, in forests or by lakes and rivers.
I enjoy teaching guitar and after more than 20 years of playing guitar, I feel the time is now right to record the songs I have written over many years.
